I've been tagged!!!

One of my newest blog friend
tagged me for another blog game.
Thank you for tagging me, so much fun to play!!

The game theme is:
 Moth's Lucky 7
I had to find my 7th follower and pay homage.
I shall say that my followers photos a bit messed up but I'm sure that my 7th was her:

Kristin from A page of inspiration.

She was  one of my very first supporters in my new experience with her generous and kind comments
She's much sweet and has a lovely blog with many lovely photos and suggestions about travel spots. Her favourite place in the world is Paris!

She always make me dream with her hotels, tea rooms, spa, shopping cities she posts about.

{photos taken courtesly form Kristin blog}

I really would like to travel to Norway and meet her personally.
Maybe someday, who knows....

Please, visit Kristin and tell her I sent you!!

Now, I have to choose other 7 blogs.

You know how much I hate to choose among such extraordinary bloggers and friends. Anyway, this being the rules I thought about it and chose some of the bloggers who supported me a lot with their comments and affection from the very first beginning and during all these months.

So the ladies I'm tagging are:

{of course it's not an order by importance}

Enjoy and feel free to participate or not!!

A little parenthesis from my home work in progress

Hello girls!!!
How is your week? Hope everything goes well.

My home works are a bit slow...
Tiles for bathrooms have  not arrived YET!!! I want to kill the one who selled them to me
for he assured me I could have them WITHOUT ANY DOUBT in a few days.
And this happened 3 weeks ago...

In the meanwhile, we are already painting the kitchen and the  bedroom
so soon I will be able to post some photos, I hope.

I've also buyed my first piece of furniture
a consolle from Maison du Monde
but it has not arrived yet...

I know that -as many of you keep write to me- are waiting for images of my home.
{Maybe some of you could doubt it's not true??...}
I'm sorry for that -I want to share everything as soon as possible with all of you.
In part I had no time, nor much for planning, in part I didn't want to show the house
at her worse conditions....
So I beg you to have some more patience...

In the meanwhile, I leave you some wondeful new pics
taken from Rachel Ashwell's site

Soon a very special guest on my blog!!!
A kiss for everyone xxx

When a book meets reality

Sometimes, I read a book and this book becomes a sort of obsession.
His characters live in my reality and I keep thinking of them even after I closed
the very last page.

I like when it happens

Somehow, that book changes something in me.

Has it ever occurred to you?
One of these books that I love
in every page, in every sentence, in every word is

I dreamt a lot over its pages.
It's a book about books, war, friendship.
And of course, it's a book about love.
A tender love story, but also
love for the human being.
A celebration to life.

It's moving, funny, romantic, witty.
Once you've started reading it, you cannot put it down.

I love when it happens

As I told you, some books become a part of me and they push me to do some
unreasonable things.
I cannot explain. You can understand if it happens to you as well.
Anyway, that's the reason why I decided that next August
I will step on board and will sail from Normandy towards
Guernsey Island....

Guernsey is an island of the English Channel, but
it's just an hour far from the Normandy coast.

I just can imagine all the stunning landscape that will open before my eyes.

I know that I won't meet Juliet, Dawsey, Amelia or Isola
and all the other unforgettable characters
but I'm far too curious about the places I've been dreaming about for so long.

Do you want to know a bit about the story?
Just a bit, because if you haven't read the book I suggest you to do.

Juliet is a 33 years old writer, lives in London  and it's 1946.
London is destroyed by the just finished WW
and Juliet is looking for inspiration for her new book.
But it's not easy to forget the war and be able to feel a human being again.

Juliet is wooed by an important American editor, Mark Reinolds.
They spend some time together, dancing for the most of times

With him, Juliet finds the way to smile again and feel a bit light-hearted.
Mark is a self-confident man, rich, handsome, has many projects for
Juliet, and she's flattered by his attention. Like any woman would.

But one day Juliet receives a letter from Guernsey, written by
Dawsey Adams, a young man who found one of Juliet's books of Charles Lamb.
They start writing each others and soon she receives letters
from each member of the so called
Potato Peel Pie Society.

Juliet gets more interested about the story of how this group founded
a literary society in a remote island during the war.

She becomes friends with many of them, they all tell her their
personal stories and soon she becomes a resident of the island
although she doesn't get aware of that until
she decides to take a boat and leave for Guernsey.

Here, she settles in a cottage by the sea

What she discovers about one of these members, how she decides to become a mother
and what will be the subject of her new book, well
you have to discover yourself...

I'm sure you're asking yourself about Dawsey Adams, are you??
Well,  he's a bit shy, very different from Mark.
Who will Juliet fall in love with between the two?

Me and my wedding

Usually, a girl thinks a lot about her wedding.

I don't

Mmmmm

Well, not so much...

Maybe, it's because I'm still single.

[I'm not very lucky about men]

But I'm okay.

I have

my house

my family

wonderful friends

many interests

I realised many dreams all by myself

So I'm happy.

I've always believed that it's not wise

to wait for a man to make a woman happy

We are responsible for our own happiness

And I don't want to live my life waiting

I want to live

now

Some people think that I'm still single because I'm looking for

a perfect man.

That's- not- true!

I had my chances to get married...

Modestly, I received some serious proposals

But they were not ment for me,

and I was not ment for them.

I know that the perfect man does not exist.

And the physical look is not at all important for me.

Oooops...

Well......

Come on!!

I admit that physical attraction

is a bit important to me, okay??

Seriously, I want a man who is

supportive

tender

someone who can see who really I am

I know that a man like this

does exist

He just doesn't find the right direction....

[If you meet him

could you please lend him a navigator-

-the Tom Tom Love???

I will be grateful...]

Last week, one of my dear friends got married.

She is 50

I said to myself- "girl, there's still hope"-

Anyway

She made me think a bit about how I would like my wedding to be:

A great feast for anyone

My darling friends all close  to me

A beautiful location

Simple flowers all around

Round tables in a garden

Or

An elegant dinner in a charming restaurant

A dreamy dress

A bouquet of peonies

Some French wine

Handmade cakes

Funny decorations

Nothing expensive, just something simple and

cheerful

That will make of me the

happiest of a bride

[with utmost relief of my parents....]

And after the wedding

I will be ready for a new adventure

with the love of my life

Ready for holding hands in hard times

Ready to make our life romantic as our first dance

I will sit by his side and talk his silences

And I will never leave him alone

[dedicated to my future husband]
